HOME FINGER NAIL MAINTENANCE FOR MEN
Cut finger nails using a curved nail clipper when dry;
File nails in one direction going from corner to centre when dry;
Push back cuticles gently using an orangewood stick or cuticle pusher when cuticles have been soaked in water or after a shower;
Apply an easy to use cuticle solvent like CDN Cuticle Eraser to exfoliate the extra cuticle skin if necessary. Leave the cuticle nipping to a professional, never cut cuticles at home....cutting cuticles causes them to grow back thicker and if done incorrectly can lead to overdoing it causing soreness and potential infections;
Apply cuticle oil to nail bed and cuticle area to keep the skin around the nail healthy; and
Use hand lotion daily, focusing on hangnails and cuticles
HOME TOE NAIL MAINTENANCE FOR MEN
Cut toe nails using a curved nail clipper after a shower. Toe nails are thicker and have a cleaner cut when they have been soaked;
File nails in one direction going from corner to centre after a shower;
Push back cuticles gently using an orangewood stick or cuticle pusher when cuticles have been soaked in water or after a shower in a circular motion. This will help buff away extra cuticle skin;
Apply an easy to use cuticle solvent like CDN Cuticle Eraser to exfoliate the extra cuticle skin if necessary. Leave the cuticle nipping to a professional, never cut cuticles at home....cutting cuticles causes them to grow back thicker and if done incorrectly can lead to overdoing it causing soreness and potential infections;
Apply cuticle oil to toe nail bed and cuticle area to keep the skin around the nail healthy; and
Use foot lotion daily to keep foot skin soft and moist.
